|Move Image Area|: drag the image box frame to a new position. Hold the |Shift| key to automatically run "Compose Image".
|Move Image Area|: drag the image box frame to a new position. Hold the |Shift| key to automatically run "Compose Image".
|Stretch Image Area|: drag the image box handle to resize the image area. Hold the |Shift| key to automatically run "Compose Image".
|Stretch Image Area|: drag the image box handle to resize the image area. Hold the |Shift| key to automatically run "Compose Image".
|Drag Out Publisher's Rectangle|: drag out a rectangle to indicate the area to be published.
|Publish|: drag out a rectangle for the area to be published.
|Measure|: drag out a rectangle to measure area. While dragging mouse, use the |Shift| Key to create a rectangle with auto-dimension text.
|Complete Line|: drag the vertex to the desired position. For readout, refer to the |Layout| menu.
|Modify Line|: click and drag to modify Line vertex.
|Not On Line End-Point|: position pointer on a highlighted vertex. Or click outside to select or deselect objects. Or hold the |Option| key for the arrow pointer.
|Locked Line|: unlock object before modification.
|Drag Out Image Size|: drag out a rectangle for the image area. Hold the |Shift| key to automatically run "Compose".
|Press and Drag Image Size|: press and drag out a new image area. Hold the |Shift| key to automatically run "Compose".|
|Cancel Polygon Split|: the pointer is moved away from vertex. The polygon split will not occur.
|Find a Vertex:| Move close to an end-vertex of another |selected| polygon. If no other |selected| polgons: release the button, and select another polyon. Use |Option| key to revert to arrow pointer.
|Cancel Vertex Deletion|: the pointer is moved away from the deleted vertex to cancel.
|Bound Polygon|: this operation is invalid on a polygon with bound text.
|Not Enough Vertices for Split|: at least 3 vertices are required to split a polygon.
|Not Enough Vertices for Straight Polygon|: after vertex deletion, at least 2 points are required for straight polygons.
|Not Enough Vertices for Smooth Polygon|: after vertex deletion, at least 3 points are required for smooth polygons.
|Maximum Number of Vertices|: cannot add any more vertices.
|Join Polygons|: release button to join the polygons. The combined polygon is given attributes from the first polygon.
|Split Closed Polygon|: release the button to split the polygon at a new location. Because it is closed, a new polygon is not created.
|Split Open Polygon|: release the mouse button to split the polygon into 2 polygons.
|Complete Deletion of Vertex|: release mouse button, or drag a short distance to cancel deletion.
|Complete Inserted Vertex|: the vertex is created, now drag it to its final location. Use |Command| key to release |grid snap|. Or use |Option| key to move vertex exactly on top of adjacent vertex (for sharp corners in smooth polygons).
|Complete Move Polygon Vertex|: drag the vertex. |Command| key releases |grid snap|. Use |Option| key to move vertex exactly on top of adjacent vertex (for sharp corners in smooth polygons).
|Complete Arc|: drag the vertex for the desired arc. For angle or percent readout, refer to the Layout menu.
|Modify Arc|: click and drag to modify arc angle.
|Not On Arc End-Point|: position the pointer on a highlighted arc vertex. Click outside to select or deselect objects. Or hold the |Option| key to revert to the arrow pointer.
|Locked Arc or Wedge|: unlock object before modification.
|Locked Polygon|: unlock polygon before modification.
|Complete Perspective|: drag to specify a |vanishing point|. Use |Shift| key, and Drag to center of another |selected object|- forces a |vanishing point|. An outline of the modified object is drawn, unless you press the |option| key.
|Complete Distort|: drag to distort polygon(s). An outline of the modified object is drawn, unless you press the |Option| key.
|Complete Shear|: drag to distort polygon(s). An outline of the modified object is drawn, unless you press the |Option| key.
|Modify Polygon(s)|: click and drag to modify polygon vertex positions.
|Not On Top of Handle|: position the pointer on a highlighted handle. Click outside to select or deselect objects. Or hold the |Option| to revert to the arrow pointer.
|Hand Movement|: drag in any direction to adjust the document scroll position.
|Zoom In or Pan|: click to zoom or pan to the area within the target rectangle. Or hold the |Option| key to revert back to arrow |Pointer|. Or click the |Zoom In| tool to zoom deeper. |Command| key allows repeated action.
|Information Bar|: Displays readout values for measurement (instead of displaying in the drawing area).

# 4 -horizontal
|Ruler Readout|: drag the pointer into the content area to obtain positional readout.|Command| key releases grid snap.
|Set Vertical Ruler|: a click sets a new vertical zero. To reset to original vertical zero: click and drag to ruler corner (upper left). For new zero point, drag into content area.
|Set Horizontal Ruler|: a click sets a new zero position. To reset to original horizontal zero: click and drag to ruler corner (upper left). For a new zero point, drag into content area.
|Set Rulers|: click to reset rulers so that (0,0) point is upper-left of document; or drag out a new (0,0) point. A 'Cross' in this box indicates an adjusted zero-point.
|Popup Toolbox|: the |Command| and |Option| keys allow popping up the |Toolbox| as a menu; drag to the required tool. Release with the |Shift| key to move palette to new location.
